Actress Suhasini was born in Chennai and actor Kamal Hassan is one of her uncle. The actress was trained in consume designing and in cinematography along with Hair styling talent as well. Actress Suhasini Maniratnam has a passion for films and likes to stay connected with the film world, through out her life.

Actress Suhasini Maniratnam started her career with Kannada and Malayalam films and then stepped into Telugu and Tamil film industry as well. She displayed her exclusive acting talents in Tamil film ‘ Sindhu bhairavi’ which was in 1985 and gained a national film award for best actress role.

Suhasini Mani ratnam is presently managing her husband’s production company which is ‘Madras Talkies’ along with G. Srinivasan. Suhasini worked as make up artist to actresses like Radhika, Radha, Vijayashanti, sumalatha and Ambika and has a passion for hair dressing.

From the year 2007, Suhasini is seen in character roles like mother and sister in law and has acted in movies such as Rakhee, Thillangadi, Leader, Varudu and Ravaanan.

When in 2010, Mani Ratnam’s 120 cr home project Raavanan flopped at the box office; Suhasini openly pleaded the media, not to make the issue a big mess and asked them to stay out of the financial claims of the film and its reviews.
